Can you remove hard water spots or fog from my windows?
We can usually remove a fair portion of hard water stains, but window cleaning cannot remove the fog inside double-paned glass. It’s important to note that sometimes the minerals on your windows have deposited into deeper layers of the porous glass, and in this case it is not possible to remove.
However, we are almost always able to make a significant improvement to the gleam and the amount of natural light - even when the windows are stained. We make it very clear that no cleaner is able to restore glass once moisture has entered between the glass, or calcium deposits have become embedded into the window glass.
Can your team clean high up or hard-to-reach windows?
Yes, we can access almost any window under four full stories. We use specialized equipment, including high-reach poles and stabilized ladder systems for interior and exterior access, to safely reach multi-story entryway windows, skylights, solariums and atriums while safely avoiding any damage to your floors, furniture or walls. Safety is our top priority for both your property and our technicians. This is typically included in full spring or summer interior and exterior window cleaning services, although for homes near greenbelts or close to the water, screen and track cleaning may be necessary twice per year to remove excessive moisture, debris or other particles.
How often should I have my windows cleaned in Seattle?
For most Seattle and Eastside homes, we recommend a professional cleaning twice a year. Typically we’ll perform a full interior & exterior cleaning, including skylights and screens, in late spring to early summer. This removes pollen and winter grime. We also recommend cleaning the exterior glass again in fall to clear away salt air and organic debris before the rainy season. Homes in water-adjacent areas - like Ballard, View Ridge or West Seattle for example - may benefit from more frequent exterior-only window cleaning services.
Do I need to be home for my window washing appointment?
If you booked an exterior-only service, you do not need to be home as long as we have clear access to the perimeter of the property. For interior and exterior appointments, we do require someone to be present to provide access. If you’re comfortable leaving a key or code with us, we’re happy to let ourselves in and lock up when we finish. This is very common for our clients, but we understand if you prefer to be home during the appointment.
